Site Design Solutions LLC (SDS) is a downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan based consulting firm providing landscape architecture, site design and planning services for a range of clients including educational, commercial, housing, municipal and recreational.

SDS was founded in 2006 as a partnership of two landscape architects, and has grown into a firm of three registered landscape architects with collectively nearly 50 years of professional experience. SDS is located in the Arcadia neighborhood (pictured). Our storefront office space is immediately west of the Arcadia Festival Site and is walkable from anywhere in Downtown.

The SDS Partners:

Timothy A. Britain, ASLA, LEED AP, CLARB holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Michigan State University and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Michigan.  Tim has nearly 20 years of professional experience in a wide variety of project types including multi-family housing, commercial, higher education, K-12, and municipal.  Tim is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and immediate past president of the Michigan Chapter. Tim is nationally certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) and is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Woodrow S. Isaacs III, ASLA, CPSI, CLARB also holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Michigan State University and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Michigan.  Woody also has nearly 20 years of professional experience, primarily in the areas of K-12, higher education and healthcare.  Woody is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, is nationally certified by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB), and is also a Certified Playground Safety Inspector.

SDS Staff:

John W. McCann, ASLA holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Penn State University and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Michigan.  John has over 10 years of professional experience in a broad range of project types including parks, trails, education, and commercial.  John is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and is a member of the Richland Township Planning Commission.
